Slow light in the woods
Wen, Ollie (our dog) and me have been countless times to this part of the forest, Wassenaarse bos, starting at Rust en Vreugdlaan 5. Just 5 minutes by car where we live, we are immediately surrounded by a forest with tall trees and little lakes. In the morning it smells fresh. We like to unwind the workweek by forest bathing and listing to the songs of the inhabitants of the forest. Actually yesterday we also were here. The temperature wass pleasant, and it after several days of heavy rain, it is sunny again. The reason we are back, is that we started to immerse ourselves in the art of photography. I started a course early at the Leiden University a couple years ago. And recently Wen bought me a new camera for my midlife crisis hobby and money trap. Wen was using my old camera and we are capturing the light breaking through the canopy. Testing different settings of the exposure triangle, playing with ISO and aperture. Ollie entertained herself and didn’t get herself wet, that is always a win after a walk.
